| History: |
The current NY 383 alignment was assigned in the early 1940s and originally began to the west at NY 5/NY 36 in Caledonia. NY 383 also extended east from Rochester along present day NY 286 to NY 350 in Walworth. The eastern (northern) terminus was moved to downtown Rochester in 1949. The western (southern) end was truncated to Mumford in 1970. |
