Northern Terminus: NY 10, Rock Rift
Length: 10.66 miles (17.16 km)
Orientation: North-South
Counties: Delaware
Cities: None
Villages: Hancock
Towns: Hancock, Tompkins
Name(s): Front St., Trailer Park Rd., Apex Rd.
History:

NY 268 was originally assigned in Erie County. NY 268 began at NY 5 in Clarence and followed Salt Rd. north to Tonawanda Creek Rd. Then it turned west along Tonawanda Creek Rd. before ending at NY 78 in Millersport, just north of the NY 263 intersection.
Recommendation:

We recommend replacing the NY 268 designation with NY 191 which was decommissioned in Clinton County in 2015. The new designation would serve as a northern extension of PA 191 which ends at the state line outside of Hancock.
