Decommissioned: 1939
Western Terminus: NY 34, Lansing
Eastern Terminus: NY 366, McLean
Length: 10.49 miles (16.89 km)
Orientation: East-West
Counties: Tompkins
Cities: None
Villages: None
Towns: Groton, Dryden, Lansing
Name(s): Peruville Rd.
Replaced By: NY 34B (Lansing-Peruville), Tompkins CR 107
Recommendation:

Assigning NY 229 to the current NY 7 alignment between the Pennsylvania state line and Corbettsville. The redesignation would create a semi-match with PA 29, which NY 7 currently becomes upon crossing into Pennsylvania. NY 7 would be truncated to Port Crane (NY 7 between Corbettsville and Port Crane would be broken into 2-3 different designations).

Scan from the 1935 Sunoco Rand McNally map
showing NY 229's alignment.
