When NY 131 was originally assigned, it followed present day NY 129 to Pines Bridge along the northern side of the Croton Reservoir. In the early 1940s, NY 131 moved to the south side of the reservoir following an alignment swap with NY 129 and would be decommissioned shortly after. |
