Western Terminus: US 11, Rouses Point
Eastern Terminus: VT Line at Champlain
Length: 0.88 miles (1.42 km)
Orientation: East-West
Counties: Clinton
Cities: None
Villages: Rouses Point
Towns:
Champlain
Name(s): Bridge Rd.
History: US 2 was commissioned in 1926. However, the route did not extend into New York until 1930.
Recommendation:

Extending US 2 further west into New York along the following existing routes: US 11 from Rouses Point to Malone, NY 37 from Malone to Morristown, NY 12 from Morristown to Clayton, and NY 12E from Clayton to Cape Vincent. US 2 would then link with ON 95 either via the existing ferry or with construction of a new bridge over the St. Lawrence River.
