NY 273 was originally assigned to what is now Yates CR 32 between NY 53 (Present day Yates CR 35) in Italy Hill and NY 54 (Present day NY 54A) in Branchport. This designation was decommissioned in the early 1940s. The Washington County alignment was assigned in 1949.
Replaced By: Washington CR 18
Recommendation:

We recommend using the NY 273 designation to replace NY 86 between Lake Placid and Wilmington.
