NY 263 originally began at NY 270 in Getzville and extended north and east to NY 93 near Akron using several alignments. In 1938, NY 263 would be realigned north to Lockport and, in the early 1940s, NY 263 would be extended south to its current terminus at US 62 in Buffalo. The northern terminus would be truncated to its current location in 1962 but would be briefly extended to Clarence in the mid-1970s via the former NY 268 alignment before being pared back again. |
