NY 195 was originally assigned to present day NY 9N between Westport (NY 22) and Elizabethtown (US 9). The original alignment was dropped in 1936 and moved to St. Lawrence County in 1938 where it remained until 1980.
Replaced By: St. Lawrence CR 55
Recommendation:

To eliminate duplication with I-95 in New York City and Westchester County, we recommend using the NY 195 designation to replace NY 95 in adjacent Franklin County.
